Lightbulb

My nephew has been visiting from Hawaii.... I've barely had the opportunity to spend any time with him over the past 5 years, so I wanted to give him something special to take home with him.

I had a damaged shorter scale Charvel body and neck laying around, so I bolted it together, tossed on some spare parts, and made this.

The guitar had been dropped on it's face, had caved in the control area, and has a HUGE, ugly gouge in the front. He's flying out Saturday, so I didn't have time to sand off the face and glue a new top on, so I took a faux-stone vinyl floor tile, cut it to match the shape of the guitar.

On one hand it's a bit cheesy, but on the other hand, it's not that different from a full frontal pick guard.

Needless to say, he's extremely excited.... but now I have to dig out a CASE so he can get it back to Hawaii.

Not bad at all. In fact it looks quite nice. And all this time you've been screwing around with sanding and finishing your other git-boxes. Duct tape & floor tiles, man.

Now throw something together for me.

    You missed the meeting.

Uke's, accordians, and "juice harps" have all been outlawed. We need to gather them all up and burn them.
